How does laser atherectomy actually work

The ability to treat a variety of complex lesions may sometimes seem technically challenging, but for those that have laser atherectomy in their PCI toolbox often appreciate this adjunctive therapy to help maximize the safety and effectiveness of their procedure.

 Dr. Kevin Croce from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston gives a brief explanation of the basic mechanisms of laser atherectomy from his extensive experience as a CHIP interventionalist and user of the technology.
